My dear friend Laura Fordham recently created a fashion blog...She has an amazing colorful wordrobe that fits her personality quite well. She has a great camera and is a wonderful photographer. We took these photos a while back on Sandy Hook, NJ. While I hope you all are enjoying my blog you should also check out hers. Every single photo of hers should be on pinterest. The vibrance of her work makes every photo enjoyable to look at. She's the bomb!

What is the appeal of jumping shots? Everyone does it. It's kinda fun right? And maybe the whole appeal comes from the abnormality of having a still photo of yourself up in the air. I mean...check this shot out. I look like im at least ten feet in the air. I know I cant jump ten feet in the air. I am bottom heavy and fall to the ground fast. Anyway...this dress is a mix of polkas and a burnt orange. Adrienne did a fantastic job once again. What's better than polka dots? Polka dots in the air.

Lots of pillows! In college I saw something similar to these in my favorite magazine called Bust. I tried to copy it and I really loved the finished product. I've made about ten of these for friends/family and have gotten really great feedback. Im going to try to do some different designs soon. Perhaps some leaves!?

Liz is my first model! I made this dress and it was a tiny bit too small for me so I gladly gave it to her. Looks great on her, right? This is a super thin polyester fabric so I double layered the bodice. I didnt double the skirt but Liz had a cute slip so it worked out perfected. I really love this fabric and am contemplating buying it in bulk because I think it will be a hit once I get it on etsy!

This is the first dress I ever made. It has a very vintage vibe to it and that's why I love it so much. It is rough around the edges but does the job. I just made a lop sided dress and posting the pictures of this one makes me happy because it was my first and wasnt completely butchered. Maybe it's important not to sew while being hung over? I got very lazy, impatient, and frustrated. I blame this on hhe 95 degree weather yesterday. Because of the heat, added with stress...Kelly Estabrook and myself felt the need to go to the Brooklyn Beer Hall and start out with a liter each. Good times. Hope you guys like this dress!

The next few days I'm going to post some photos of my clothes that were professionally taken by Miss Adrienne Anghelone. She's the bomb. If anyone needs photos taken of ANYTHING I would go straight to her : )
The one thing I found out during this photo shoot is that I am not a model. Not only an I not modelesk but I am impatient. Being the professional that Adrienne is...she wanted to take alot of photos of each outfit I had. After about 3 minutes of each photo I wanted to die. I am the most impatient person you will ever meet which is usually a disadvantage in life. What I'm getting at is that I need models! So if you would like to model some sweet shit...then let me know.

As Amy and I sit in her Rutland Vermont apartment drinking BLLs and watching re runs of the bachelorette she asks me, "What are you making?"
"A Snood" I reply
"What's that?"- the Asian girl asks
I wrap the scarf around my next twice and say, "a snood. duh."
"Oh...that's a onesie"
"Yeah...it's a onsie"
Amy is a freak and my best friend. I visited her in Vermont which was a perfect vacation/some quality best friend time. We went to a couple breweries and mountain biking by day. By night we relaxed with the pups and watched pretty bad television. It was so much fun! While relaxing in the evening and watching this bad television I worked on my snoods or "onsies". I made 5 in all and they are really really cute colors. I'm trying to stock up for winter so that I can sell them all at once! Who wants one!?!

For the past few months I have been making dresses like a mad woman. I decided to change it up a bit. One of my new favorite blogs is this little lady . She occasionally sews and has a recipe for this baby. It was super easy and took me all of 1 episode of Friday Night Lights to finish(I blame Ashley Peter). I love the blue in this fabric! The elastic waist makes it super comfy, some what versatile and the best part of this skirt that any broad my age can agree with is it has...pockets!!! Oh. I am also blogging at 4:45am because I start a new job in a few hours and cant sleep. Seriously...I got a total of 3 hours of sleep last night. Should be an interesting day!
