This weekend we celebrated my brother Aj and nephew, Oliver's birthdays! Ollie is 2 and Aj is the big 24. His birthday present was a bearded hat since he was the one who inspired me to make them after all. Im so lucky to have my niece and nephew right around the corner from me. If I dont see them for even I day I miss them!
Here are some fun pictures from the party.

This is cool.

Today's post from What A Nerd Would Wear
Cyber Monday Sponsor Spotlight

For "Cyber Monday," I thought I'd spotlight a few great picks and great deals from the sponsors that help me keep my blog running. I'm unusually particular about sponsors, and try only to pick shops from which I have shopped or would shop on my own. In other words, they tend to be budget-friendly small businesses, often with great missions or ethical underpinnings. Without further ado, here are some of my favorite picks of the holiday season:

They arent on etsy yet so if anything is interested contact me! They would make great gifts! Any colors/color combos are available.

Haby Habes Habes

I Have been friends with Erin Haberman ever since we worked at Murphy Style Grill together in high school. She moved down to the DC area after college so I dont see her very often but we do keep in touch. Now that we have blogs its even easier to keep up with each other. Habes has a great blog called Currently Coveting. Not only is she a crafty creative lady but she's one of my greatest customers! She loves Seams to Be and has no problem with spreading the word about my shop. These are some recent pictures of Erin modeling some of my creations. Check her blog out!

Facial Hair

For some reason facial hair is the word right now. People love it. Chicks dig it. Guys want it. When I picture my "perfect man"...he has a beard. Think about it...Scott Avett, Joaquin Phoenix, Zach Galifianakis(just kidding?). There is something primitive about wanting your man to have facial hair. Lo and behold! A bearded hat!!! Now your man can be manly and warm at the same time! Check it out! I'm not allowed to sell these on etsy because I bought the pattern on there BUUTTT you can always email/message me if you want one. I'm also in the process of making one of Oliver(he's 2). Why can't babies have facial hair too?

And The Winner Is...

Thelma and Louise! Ashley and I are fans of strong female leads and also projects. We thought Thelma and Louise would be the perfect costume and we would get to have guns so there you go. Thelma is taller so Ashley was her by default. We thought the only way people would really recognize us was if we made a card board convertible. We went to a friend's Halloween party in the lower east side and had a great time. We even won best cotume! It was an honor. And our cars broke about 5 minutes later. I also had work the next day with what I thought was a wicked hang over but turns out it was just a stomach bug! ha! Happy Halloween!
