Before I start my lesbian crush rant I need to apologize for being MIA for two...three weeks?? The short excuse is that work in NYC has been busy, I went to Costa Rica for 8 days, my sewing machine broke, my etsy has been jumping because of the beautiful photos shot by the talented Kerri Sullivan, I have taken up running, and I have a new boyfriend(ya'll know how that works). So...with that out of the way I can now vent about this book that I could not put down. Everyone has seen The Office, right? If you haven't even seen one episode than you either don't have a television or you live under a rock. Mindy Kaling is one of the writers and also plays one of my favorite characters on the show. She's hilarious. Her character reminds me of Kate Hudson's annoying character from How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days...and who didn't crack up over that shit? Anyway her memoir is called IS EVERYONE HANGING OUT WITHOUT ME?(AND OTHER CONCERNS). She brings us through the hilarious moment of her childhood years to her awkward teenage years to moving to Brooklyn after to college to pursue writing and then finally to making it as a writer and what it's like on the set of The Office. I'm usually not this cheesy(maybe I am) but I wanted to share the excerpt that made me miss my best friend so much that I didn't see for 7 days. That's right...I miss her after 7 days if not sooner. This is just so spot on and funny. Maybe you guys will want to share it with your best friends.

I made this dress originally for my birthday after I was in Anthropologie one day. I was trying on cute black dresses that were well over $150. I got frustrated with the prices and decided I could just make one myself. This is it. It's my first dress with long sleeves which was a fun and interesting adventure, haha. This dress is seriously great for any season and super comfy!

So for the next few days I'll post the 4 new pieces available in my etsy shop. This model is a girl I've been friendly with and seen in passing since college. I never really knew her well but I thought she had a great look. When I contacted Jeannie about modeling my pieces she was thrilled! It was seriously a win win. Not to mention the talented Kerri Sullivan who contacted me to collaborate. They were both awesome to work with and this shoot was so much fun! Hope everyone likes my new pieces...there are even more to come : )
